Evaluation
Most if not all project management work is accompanied by a qualitative and quantitative evaluation which is part of the accounting to funders and partners, and this is informed by consultation with volunteers, funders and attenders. Data is collected through on-line and face to face questionnaires, focus groups and public meetings. This has been an important part of the Economic Impact Study of Newark Festivals (2007-9), for east midlands development agency, and the Leisure Needs Analysis for Suffolk Coastal District which included the needs for arts, sports, heritage and the voluntary sector, 2009.
I have done formal evaluations for projects on behalf of Renaissance east Midlands, Lowdham Book festival, Leicestershire County Council and Centre Stage, Leicestershire (where I assessed the touring programme from 2005 to 2010).
